Enxame Survivors

The forest never ends. You just run. Until Death arrives.

plays fine with your thumb

An endless horde run through a dead forest at night, with the camera on your tail. There is no attack button: your weapons work on their own, and all you do is choose where to run — and over which vials, because the essence the horde drops stays on the ground until you pass. Each vial fills the bar; each level opens three cards: a new weapon, a stronger weapon, a passive. Twenty-five weapons, eight of them true spells (the fireball that pierces a whole column, the ice that pins, the chain that jumps from body to body, the bats that scatter), fifteen passives and twenty-five evolutions only a chest can unlock. And one chest per minute, because the forest has elites on a schedule, torches hiding coins, hearts and embers, and five items planted screens away, waiting for whoever explores the dark. The horde grows in sawtooth, minute by minute, with packs that sweep the screen, sieges that close in and mushroom prisons that sprout around you. At thirty minutes Death comes, and no one escapes her. Four characters unlocked by the clock and paid with coins, fifteen achievements that unlock new weapons, eighteen powers between runs. Art from 0x72's Dungeon Tileset II and Kenney's Tiny Town and Pixel Shmup packs.
